Roles reversed! Dra. Luedke is the student.

200-hours.
Twice a week for 16 weeks for 3-4 hours each night.
Dra. Luedke completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with the Latina Sweat Project (LSP) in August 2026. Students enter the program and commit to teaching 25 community (free) classes upon certification in exchange for their YTT tuition. As it stands, the instructors have completed their in-class training and paper exams, and trio teaching session. Throughout the month of September we will all teach our solo classes, and we will fulfill our 25 community classes over the next several months.

Once instructors fulfill their community requirement, they are no longer subject to a non-compete and can teach wherever they please. In this way, the YTT program prioritizes providing instructors and access to movement for the Pilsen and broader Chicago Latine community, while reducing equity barriers (e.g., costly training) for Latine instructors seeking to enter the yoga industry.

For the trio course, I led the lunge, balance, hip and surrender series with Celina and Marlene.

For our first co-teaching opportunity, we were assigned to groups of five to teach a full community class. I had the blessing to co-teach with Amanda, Jade, Marlene, and Xochil.
