Dra. Courtney Luedke, Co-learning Philosophy

As an educator, I seek to foster a reciprocal learning environment that centers on educational justice, racial justice, and social justice. For me, a reciprocal learning environment means a co-learning environment where everyone equitably teaches and learns. Between my critical perspective on power dynamics and embodiment of communal values, I often co-work with students and faculty in non-traditional learning spaces such as coffee shops. These neutral environments open avenues for conversation and connections, oftentimes not comfortably possible inside the ivory tower of higher education.
